What is PALS?
This course is designed to provide Pediatric Advanced Life Support training for experienced nurses, paramedics and other allied health professionals. Standards of care, established by the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics, will be utilized. If registered participant holds a current Healthcare Provider card it will be renewed as part of this course.
This course will provide training in a supportive, interactive environment. Case studies and videos will be utilized to provide opportunities to integrate knowledge with practical skills. The course covers an extensive amount of material in a short period of time and requires preparation. Please complete the pretest you will receive from the VRTI upon registering and come to the course prepared and ready to learn.

What is ACLS?
This course is designed to teach you the lifesaving skills required to be both a team member and a team leader when responding to in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.
This course will provide training in a supportive, interactive environment. Case studies and videos are utilized so as to provide opportunities to integrate knowledge with practical skills. If registered participant holds a current Healthcare Provider card it will be renewed as part of this course.

BLS for Healthcare Providers:
The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask), foreign-body airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation. CEUs are available for this course upon request.

What is ITLS?
“International Trauma Life Support” was formerly known as “Basic Trauma Life Support.” The course content has gone unchanged and should be accepted by any agency or entity requesting this certification. The International Trauma Life Support Provider course for Paramedics and Advanced EMS Providers is a comprehensive course covering the skills necessary for rapid assessment, resuscitation, stabilization and transportation of trauma patients. Created for the advanced EMT, paramedic and trauma nurse, the primary objectives of the course are to teach the correct sequence of evaluation and the techniques of resuscitation and packaging a patient.
